The END is here!!!
i just cant wait.. craving, crawling towards that day. The day of my SIP(student intership program) end!! ..We the Seniors of TP in IT(ICP)School have been a slave to the industrial sector for 4mths.. Haizz some have been bullied,some even get scolding from the supervisors becoz didnt reached to their standards or the things they wanted and some are stuck at school for their SIP with no pay. Just pity for those students..dont worry the end is juz 4days away..
Im so called lucky to be posted at MOE although my allowance here is suck big time compared to others who get $500-$600++ per mth but im glad that the people around here doesnt really pressured us much. Well most of the staff here are ex-teachers so somehow they understand the limit of our knowledge. Futhermore, MOE have experience alot of intership but this is their first time to get students frm TP. I hope they will give TP a good feedback for the 5 TP students doing intership here.
Although 4 out of 5 took MCs and sometimes we are late for work but the duration of our lateness is barely 10mins late. So no harm done rite. heehee..
No doubt i gained alot of experiences within 4mths. I learned alot espeacially flash animation and actionscripting. And no matter what you just cannot run away from office politics. Guess what, let me share something that happen here in MOE. There are 8 of us doin our SIP. 5 from TP and 3 from SP. Our job scope are doing IR(interactive resources) that uses flash&dreamweaver. Basically we need to do e-learning for the primary/secondary students. So we are divided to different sectors.
2SP + 1 TP are at chinese dept.
2TP are at humanities dept.
2TP(Im here) are at science dept.
1SP is at mathematics dept.
So what happen actually was our supervisors from science n maths caught up wif alot of arguements about us. Obviously there is not enough interns with the work load ready for us. All of us was so shocked when the 1st arguement broke out. We was like WTH?! adults agruing about small matters. They thought that once we are assigned to different sectors the interns just work under them. No one can touch their interns at all. What happen to sharing? or give and take?
Everyone kept a very long silence that day. So i taught when adults argue it's gonna take a few days too cool things off but i was wrong. After lunch they were communicating again but in a better manner, they discussed. This was actually an eye opener for me. i learned that no matter wat happen in the office you need to control you temper, dont argue but discuss because by discussing is more professional and more problems being solves. So the best way to solve any matter is to sit down and discuss.
No one can run away from office politics when you are working in the office. I was accidently involve with this but most of time i did was just nod and smile and walk away. hehe hey im just an intern, if im permanent here den it would be a diff story. :D But everyone here are super nice to us. They welcome us with an open arms.
Overall im gonna miss my sweet cubicle,our long lunch breaks,soccer tables and of course the staffs at lvl 14 plus the SP students. Im sure they are going to miss us too. hehe i tink so. Anyway im glad i wen thru SIP coz now im expose and experience the working life.
